Recorded Shows - ShowSqueeze

The "ShowSqueeze" screen, available by clicking the "ShowSqueeze" button from the "Options" screen for a particular recording in the Web Admin, allows the user to schedule a ShowSqueeze job for the selected recording.


Select "Show more options" from the dropdown near the top of this page to access all settings.

Intelligent Quality Selection: Enable this feature to allow the software to decide the quality profile to use when creating the new file. This feature attempts to choose a quality profile that will maintain the same level of video quality as the original.

Target File Format: Selects the format of the file to be created by the ShowSqueeze operation. Valid selections are Windows Media (WMV) and H.264, as well as Copy.

Target Quality: The quality profile used to create the new file. This option is only available if "Intelligent Quality Selection" is disabled.

Target Video Folder: The Video Folder where the new file will be placed in.

Schedule the ShowSqueeze to: This setting governs when the ShowSqueeze operation should begin.

Run during off-peak hours: Ensures that the ShowSqueeze job will only run during the constraints specified in the ShowSqueeze Settings section of the Web Admin.

Run as soon as possible: Ensures that the ShowSqueeze job will run as soon as a currently running ShowSqueeze, SmartChapter, or StreamSnip job finishes.

Delete Source File After ShowSqueeze: Specifies whether or not the SnapStream Enterprise TV Server should delete the source file after it has created the new file.

After making the desired selections on this screen, be sure to hit the Submit button. This will append the ShowSqueeze job(s) to the list of post-processing tasks displayed on the ShowSqueeze page.
