Recording Folder
The location in which, by default, the SnapStream Enterprise TV Server places the recordings it creates. This field will include the path of the location as well as the name assigned to the folder (if any). The video folder marked as "default" can be changed in the Setup Wizard.

Preferred Recording Format
The SnapStream Enterprise Server is only capable of recording in the MPEG-2 format.

Recording Quality
The quality profile used to create recordings. Advanced users can edit these profiles in the appropriate section of the Web Admin interface.

Padding
The amount of time that the software will add to the beginning and end of a recording. Specifically, this value corresponds to the number of minutes early that a recording will begin, and the number of minutes late that the recording will end. This setting exists to overcome the problems posed by stations airing shows before or after their scheduled time. For example, while the CPU's clock may read 9:59, a station may already have started a show that airs at 10:00. With padding set to 2 as above, for a show scheduled to run from 10:00 to 11:00, recording would start at 9:58 and end at 11:02.
