Recording Settings and Priorities

The "Recording Settings and Priorities" section of the ViewScape enables users to adjust the priority of scheduled recording jobs, and to adjust the properties of the recordings created by that job. To access this section, start at the Home menu, an example of which is shown below:

Select "Setup Recordings," which will enter the following menu:

Select "Recording Settings and Priorities," which will display a list of current recording jobs. An example of this screen is shown below:

Select one of the recording jobs presented in the list.

If an episodic show is selected, the following menu will appear:

View and edit details: Allows modification of the attributes of recordings created under this recording job. Refer to the Overriding Recording Defaults section for information on using this option.

Change job priority
: Allows the user to modify the priority of the job to ensure that in the case of a scheduling conflict, its recordings are created rather than the conflicting recordings scheduled by another job. Refer to the Adjusting Recording Priorities section for information on the usage of this feature.

View upcoming (episodes / airings of this movie)
: Choose this option to view a list of recordings to be created under this job. Note that unless "Recording on Any Channel" is enabled, this will only list airings on one channel. This function is the same as "View Upcoming Episodes" performed from the "Upcoming Recordings" menu, and is described in the View Upcoming Episodes section.

Do not record any episodes / Stop trying to record this movie
: Deletes the recording job. Alternately, the user can select the recording and hit the DELETE key on the keyboard to remove the job.

Cancel
: Exits this menu and returns to the "Recording Settings and Priorities" page.
