TV Alerts

This page lists the TV Alerts that have been created by the user who is currently logged in. Users with the Administer E-mail Alerts permission enabled will see alerts created by all users. See User Configuration for more information on permissions.



Click Create New TV Alert to open the TV Alert creation page. The same page can be reached for existing alerts by selecting Edit.



Name
The name of the TV Alert. This will be the beginning of the subject line of each alert e-mail.

To Email Address
This is where theTV Alert will be sent. Multiple addresses can be entered separated with a comma.

Frequency
Determines how often the searches for this TV Alert will be run. Note: Times of day can be changed in Email Notification Settings.

As it happens: An e-mail will be dispatched each time new search results appear. Note: Search results are indexed every ten minutes, beginning fifteen minutes in the past. Therefore, an alert sent at 11:00 AM will contain search results from 10:45-10:55 AM.

Hourly: An e-mail will be dispatched every hour.

·

Every Other Hour: E-mails will be dispatched on even-numbered hours.

·

Every Six Hours: E-mails will be dispatched at 12 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM, and 6 PM.

·

Twice Daily: E-mails will be dispatched at 12 AM and 12 PM daily.

·

Daily: An e-mail will be dispatched at 12 AM every day.

·

Weekly: An e-mail will be dispatched every Sunday at 12 AM

Search Terms
These are the search terms which will be included in each alert. Clicking Add will save the search terms and open a box for a new search set of terms. For each alert, searches for all sets of terms will be performed simultaneously, and all results will be returned in the same e-mail. To create another alert for another set of search terms, click Save and then Create New Alert.

Clicking on a search term that has been added will run a search for that term through Advanced Search.

The following settings will appear if Show more settings is selected.



From Email Address
This is the address the TV Alert will appear to be sent from.

Text Only
If the recipient of this TV Alert does not have access to the SnapStream Enterprise TV Server, they may want to receive text only TV Alerts. These alerts are identical to regular TV Alerts but do not include links back to the SnapStream Enterprise TV Server.

Process Search Results
When this option is enabled, results from this alert will processed automatically after the alert e-mail is dispatched. Options include Clip, ShowSqueeze, and Clip and ShowSqueeze. Clips will be generated according to the settings in Email Notification Settings. ShowSqueeze jobs will be run according to the settings in ShowSqueeze Settings.
